We’ve all heard not to wear white after Labor Day but if you watched the
American Music Awards on Sunday, then you know that rule has been
unpopular with fashion girls for years now! Personally, I love a little holiday
white to spice up my evening look. Nothing is more chic than matching the
falling snow, right?
From Kendall Jenner to Nicole Richie to Miley Cyrus (covered up for once!),
celebs proved that winter white is one of the season’s hottest trends. With bold
makeup and a strategically placed cutout, white is both sexy and daring –
and of course, gorgeous!
I definitely don’t recommending wearing the color on Thanksgiving – you’re
just asking to spill gravy all over your ensemble – but it’s perfect for a festive
holiday party or a power business meeting, since you’ll command all the
attention. We’ve included a few do's and don'ts below to help with your
dressing – we’re calling it a whiteout!
DO: Go monochromatic
DON’T: Wear white shoes
DO: Add a bold lip color
DON’T: Be afraid to rock a wild accessory
DO: Invest in nude (not white!) undergarments
DON’T: Forget to have confidence!
