Fall! That romantic crisp air, golden leaves, and my favorite fashion. This fall, like every fall, I always state the same, "The fashion is so good, I can't wait for it to get chilly!" And here are my favorite trends for Fall 2013!
Skirts + Sweatshirts
Everyone from Givenchy
found a super chic solution to staying comfy and warm in cold
weather months. I normally wouldn't be caught dead in a sweat shit, even at the gym, however paired with a skater skirt or a midi pencil skirt, I'm sold!
Whats better then a cocoon? A jacket you can wrap yourself up in! I love these baggy over-sized pieces. This trend is a comeback from the late 80's, early 90's and my mom has a full closet of them in storage of "things she'll never wear," guess who raided that wardrobe the other night!?
Olive...IS...the new BLACK! From fatigues to army boots this trend is somewhat of a classic. Year after year we see it return with minor zhoozh here or there. This time around try to embellish and add some large brooches or costume jewels to this tough chic trend.
The 'Lucite clutch girl' has clearly nothing to hide! Whether it's clear, or with a pop of color, I just love these quirky playful bags. They're also pretty fantastic conversation pieces. Any time I bring mine out there is always a bucketload of questions and conversations to come! Ashlyn'd
are two of my favorite up and coming designers that make fab Lucite boxes! Ashlyn'd
is a Cali based brand and has some fantastic sand, pearl, chalk board and cork numbers. Want something a little more personal? Check out MNO.LOGIE
where every bag is custom made and engraved to you personally. I just love that!
So of course, no trend report is ever complete without my declaration of love for plaid! It's fun, it can go preppy to grunge in seconds with the proper accessories and really I think everyone needs a little checker in their life!
So there, my favorite trends for Fall 2013! What's your favorite?
