MIAMI STREETS

9.12.2014

It's official...I am in LOVE with this dress.  The second I spotted it I knew it would be perfect for Miami.  The hot pink color and effortless way it flows make such a  statement.  When traveling I love to bring day to night transitional pieces and this dress goes easily from casual to dressy.

I wore it with flats while out to dinner on EspaƱola Way in Miami, but also plan on pairing it with strappy jeweled heels this winter to a wedding I am attending in Mexico! Oh and if you think I won't wear this dress in crispy fall in Chicago?! Well, I will! A brown bootie, suede fringe jacket and a big hat will be perfect for fall.

PALM TREE + PANAMA HATS = SoBe FUN

9.10.2014

I'm about two weeks in from being back from an AMAZING girls trip to Miami! I have such a love for SoBe.  Whenever I visit I love to stay at the gorgeous Gale Hotel.  It's a boutique hotel with the swankiest decor, the best looking people and the most amazing Italian food, with actual "Italian" waiters (SCORE)!  It also happens to be the "perfect" place to shoot style posts.

Fall maybe approaching but I am not ready to give up my Panama hats and palm tree prints just yet... not to mention it is summer all year-round in Miami ;) Vacationing here always means bold fashion statements.  Anything bright, white or printed!

#NYFW

9.04.2014

The day we've been waiting for is finally here... NYFW starts today! Although I won't be going to NYC for Fashion Week once again this year, (kids and shoots keeping me away from the mayhem), I rounded up some 'Must Haves' to put on your packing list if you are headed to Lincoln Center.

Must Haves:

Be sure to pack some standout pieces as well as cool key basics. Think interesting  dresses paired with great accessories or a strong piece with minimal styling.

Perfect Pair:

It's easy to forget that pants can be a killer look as well for NYFW.  Pair your favorite ones with a classic tee and you will look cool girl chic instantly!

Shoes:

Make sure you pack simple heels to go with everything as well as a great statement pair.  You will also want to throw in flats for those days when you are running around from show to show.  I love a great leopard slip on, they go with everything and look rocker cool.

Accessories:

Pack some great printed clutches to add flair to any outfit.  Bring a chic backpack to carry around all your necessities and travel gear!  Throw in a hat for extra style points!

Jackets:

Be sure to bring some killer jackets to throw over your shoulders for a great "Oh this ol thing?" street style look!

BELL by Alicia Bell

8.20.2014

I am so in love with this eyelet dress from Bell by Alicia Bell. It is so versatile and can be worn from the Hampton's to the streets of New York... just like anything else, it all depends on how you style it! Naturally, I had to add some edge and leather to make it fit my personality.  It seems unlikely, but this eyelet dress transitions perfectly into fall with a great pair of booties and a layering piece.

One of my favorite parts about Bell is that it is all custom made.  You can choose to add different style sleeves, wear it with or without the belt, and much, much more! I love adding the belt to get more of a shape but also dig how it flows off the body when it is not belted.

FURLA PARTY ON OAK STREET

8.15.2014

Last week I told you about the Furla + Glossed & Found event I was hosting in Chicago. My favorite Chicago fashion peeps came out to see FURLA'S latest collection. Remember the FURLA Candy Bag that every blogger, socialite and fashion maven carried and still carries? Well, FURLA has come up with a new 'it' bag.... tan tanadaaaa... I introduce to you the "Metropolis." It comes in a few shapes and sizes, an array of colors and the price is amazing! I personally love the mini! It's adorable, easy to carry and transitions day to night seamlessly. Of course I'm obsessed with this fur version, you can buy beginning of September, which also comes in fuchsia and muted grey. In the meantime you can visit FURLA.com or your nearest FURLA store and get yourself a chic Metropolis mini, I had to snag the navy one as well!!!

And if you missed the event here's a quick little recap for ya!

BABY BLUES

8.13.2014

Ok, so my favorite color is red, but lately I've been obsessed with pale blue hues. Powder blues, pinks and violets were all the rage for spring and quickly moved into summer. Now that fall is around the corner, baby blues are here to stay. Pair them with chocolates (like I did here), burgundys and navys and you're spring/summer blues will transition perfectly into fall.
